Blood...

 The Design Begins

Here are two sculptures I made to get my design juices flowing...one was inspired by the heart and valves the other by clotting blood....

1. the valve sculpture,

2. The clotting sculpture, made up of loads of red buttons sewn on to muslin, 

Heres a nice print of the buttons sculpture...I photcopied it in coloue then enlarged and photcopied over the original in black and white...pretty nice print..:)

I then began to place my two sculptures on the mannequins and developed my croquis,

I eventually choose this design out my possible 60,

and drew my illustrations,
