Talkin transfer...Sculpture..:D

In this experiment I wanted to explore transfer of particals, using talkin powder,

Here I began making my wool balls, using florist wire, masking tape and white wool,

I then coated the woolen balls in Talkin powder, and attached them to string hung from the ceiling in preperation to hitting them off the black paper,

Each ball created a unique mark on the black paper, like a finger print,

also there were was a build up of powder underneath the impact site..lol

Expansion of Gas, Sculpture..:D

Here I got a packet of Andrews liver salts from Boots and mixed it with water so that it would react to make CO2 gas, I placed a clear plastic bag in to a toilet roll with holes cut into it, as the water and Andrews reacted and created enough gas and pressure of the bag to burst through the cardboard roll,

Sculptural Experimentation........

Talkin Powder, it leaves transfers and it seems to never get out of your clothes unless washed..

Red clothes dye mixed with talkin powder,

applied to fabric,

Got bored......

Painting Instillation...:D

My instillation was in response to a painting by Marilyn Minter,

This was my first attempt and it was too much like a still life, so I let go of my inhibitions and went bigger,

Over all this was a more interesting Instillation to paint from.

Marilyn.............

Critical and Contextual part of painting, tomorrow we are expected to construct a instillation in response to a painting by a creditable artist......I have looked thruough a hand full and choose one by Marilyn Minter.......

This is a painting by Marilyn Minter, its is a very seductive painting in my opinion,
I like the idea of chewing pearls being portrayed in a risqué manner....

This video also helped my choice....I love how wet it is and it will be interesting to portray it through the medium of paint...:) Below are a few other artists I considered...

This sketch is by an artist called Frank Auerbach...I loved the movement in the lines...

This Instillation is by a Artist called Angela De La Cruz, the shape of this piece is very interesting, reminds me of the female body and a arching hand.....

I like this piece by Christopher Wool due to its intricacy....

This is a beautiful painting by and artist called Alyssia Monks, I love how she created the wet look to the painting and successfully created the moments before a woman submerges herself in water......
